This place is the best. The foundry classes are phenomenal, staff is always friendly and the patrons are quiet and respectful.
If you are looking for a quiet study environment this is NOT THE PLACE. I couldn't find an empty table far enough from the screaming children. I finally found one to look up at a wood shop class going on. It was almost a joke that there is a wood making class in a library? I'm a college student looking for a peaceful place to study. I just couldn't concentrate. More like a playground or middle school. How is this a county library!!
I love this library! I can't say enough good things about it. They keep up with current new releases so I can almost find what I want. They are also willing to make orders for what they don't have. They have numerous amazing activities for kids of all age groups. They have several small study rooms, that separate you from noise and distractions located at the opposite end of the kids section. They have clubs that are great for all ages. I strongly encourage you to get involved!
Great library. And most astonishingly, beyond the typical library offerings of books, periodicals and reference material, they have a great creative space! LOL Branch Library has a Makerspace right inside the library where they let patrons share their knowledge amongst each other on how to use hand tools and power tools like the drill press, band saw, lathe, and so on. Nice, well used workbenches are there, as well as computers for CAD design work and 3D printers. They also have a crafts and textile space with sewing machines and other fabric working activities. This is an amazing library that hosts it's own FRC Robotics team that has built their own robot right on the premises and participated in challenging competitive robotics events. Great mentors. Great staff. Great volunteers. Highly recommended!
