I went there for a couple months and now I'm in middle school. It was an ok school the field trips are amazing but the lunch is terrible. The teachers there are sweet but the teachers in my school are better. So overall it is fine but not the best
We've just been there for 6 months but so far it's all good. My son is happier than in previous schools and he says it's his favorite. The atmosphere is very "outdoorsy" as he says and academically it's completely different from Hillsborough county but I feel more competitive (my son struggled in the beginning cause of all the technology and math work). Teacher responded to every email within less than two hours and communication has been EXCELLENT. Mr Simmons in 4th grade has been amazing. This school is usually underestimated by parents outside of the school zone. Once you are in there, it's all great.
I am in 5th grade and I love this school it is awesome they do a whole day about going against bullying they also do fun activities like busterthon(don't know how to spell it sorry)and fundraisers for people with cancer and a hats day where you get to wear a hat for a dollar and every dollar goes to the kids who have cancer and they are making fake hair for them so ya if your a parent I suggest you go to this school because i'ts AWESOME!!
Further some staff at this school actually coddle my kid's bad behavior and set him up against their parents! Some of the staff in this school have a messiah complex rather than work cooperatively with us. They don't listen to us and think they know what's best for our kids! I am simply appalled with some of the staff at this school.
I was yelled at by a teacher doing parking attendant duties. Mind you there are no labels and it was an open parking spot not reserved for anything. I thought it might just be one person having an off day, but ever since then I have had many occasions where the different staff exhibit the same culture of rudeness with a condescending attitude. Just be polite to people! Parents don't all get your internal rules and principles because we don't attend there.
My daughter goes to this school and has been going there for last 2 years, so far the experience has been really good. The teachers seem to take time to understand my kid and help and guide her as needed.
